kannste dich an TC&TK erinnern? da is das album auch erst viele monate nach den aufnahmen rausgekommen..muss ja alles bearbeitet, eingestellt, gemischt usw. werden...
also februar kommt es bestimmt nicht raus...

Elton begibt sich ja Januar ins Studio, und Songs soll er angeblich auch geschrieben haben, was soll ihn hindern sie Ende Februar rauszubringen???? Und Anfang März oder März ist auch nciht schlecht, aber Oktober etc, wer hat das denn gesagt???

ist ja auch egal, ich find aber komisch dass sie schreiben es kommt es kommt aber nicht..:(

es kommt doch eh..nur nicht in der ersten hälfte des jahres..

Bingo, da werden wir uns schon noch ein wenig gedulden müssen, aber so wie die Zeit verrennt, haben wir nach gefühlten drei Wochen ne neue Elton-CD in den Händen;-))

ich mache mir Sorgen um Leon Russel und damit auch etwas um das neue Album (ist aber da schon eher zweitrangig). Diese Info hab ich eben bekommen:

Russell was hospitalized recently for surgery for a brain fluid leak and treatment for heart failure and pneumonia, reportedly in California, multiple sources confirm. The brain surgery may be for a recurring health issue that has troubled Russell in the past. However, calls to several hospitals in California were unable to confirm Russell had been admitted.

The work with Elton John has also been put on hold, said Lee.

Leon is recovering after successful surgery on Monday to relieve a chronic condition. He is doing fine and resting in the hospital in good condition. He is expected to be released from the hospital in a few days.

Leon is looking forward to beginning studio recording sessions during the last half of this month through February with Elton John, Bernie Taupin and T-Bone Burnett. He and his band will resume touring at the beginning of March.

Es scheint glücklicherweise doch nicht ganz so ernst zu sein wie es sich erst angehört hat.

Ja es scheint Leon wieder besser zu gehen..
hoffentlich gesundet er wieder bald vollständig und kann wie geplant im Februar ins studio...

The 67-year old pianist and composer and former member of Joe Cocker’s Mad Dogs and Englishmen, wrote an albums worth of songs with Sir Elton John and Bernie Taupin in November, 2009 and had planned to record them at this time.

Then two days ago were heard the news that Russell had undergone brain surgery earlier in the week.

The statement at Russell’s website announcing the surgery also stated Leon is looking forward to beginning studio recording sessions during the last half of this month through February with Elton John, Bernie Taupin and T-Bone Burnett”.

Russell is planning to tour in March.
