Wahrscheinlich schreibt der Blinddarm bald ein Buch. "Elton from the Inside - an appendix comes out".

Es ist halt schon bemerkenswert, dass Elton all diese Interviews ausgerechnet den Blättern gibt, die er sonst meidet wie die Pest. Aber ich glaube, wir hatten irgendwann die These von Eltons Zwilling (Milton oder so?) schon mal durchdiskutiert.

Ich weiß, aber erst jetzt hab ich ihn gesehen und ich fand, es war eine Pflicht für mich als Elton-Fan einen Kommentar zu schreiben....

Es gibt leider schlechte Nachrichten, die über Stuart Epps bei Facebook verbreitet wurden. Roger Pope, der wiederholt mit Elton zusammen gearbeitet hat, ist sehr sehr krank. Das schreibt Stuart dazu:

"Roger Pope (Popey) is very ill in Southampton general hospital
The brilliant Drummer in the Amazing band HOOKFOOT in the late 60's and early 70's.
Also the driving force behind Elton and many other artists in the studio and live for many many great tours and all those amazing albums . Sue Tresidder is looking after him as she has done for many years . I saw him today and although its bad to see him so ill, i was amazed to see hes still the same optimistic , funny , and loving guy even when hes going through this terrible traumatic time .
Popey's totally brilliant feel on the drums was always matched by his feel for living life to the full !! For Gus Dudgeon he was the only Drummer to use in the studio .Totally professional and focused, bringing life and soul and excitement to the tracks he played on .Not always easy to work with sometimes but what great musician is ?
On-stage you couldn't take your eyes off him . A powerhouse !!

ich habe es leider auch schon gelesen... :( einfach unfassbar... so traurig. Ich wünsche ihm von Herzen, dass er es übersteht...

Der Telegraph hat ein Interview mit Bernie, wo er auch einiges über die Zusammenarbeit mit Elton erzählt, und wie Elton arbeitet. Recht nett zu lesen.

Tonight we lost another icon of the drumming world. Roger Pope, drummer for Elton John and founder member of Hookfoot. Friend, colleague, sparring partner and HUGE influence on my early career. He was a technician of the first order, with uncanny feel & intuition. His drumming is on some of the seminal Elton John tracks: Don't Go Breaking My Heart, Island Girl, One Horse Town.
