Elton macht 2 neue Alben. Aufnahmen gibt's ab Jänner 2012!!

".... I’ve got two albums to do and I really want to make the best two albums I can. It would be stupid for me to go anywhere else because my catalogue is with Universal.” (sagt er weil er ja erst vor kurzem eine neue Albumfirma (~Rocket Records..) aufgemacht hat...)
He will begin recording the first of those albums in the new year, reuniting with T Bone Burnett who produced his album The Union with Elton’s own mentor Leon Russell. “We’ve booked two weeks in the studio in January and Bernie Taupin is writing as we speak and I just want to make an album of good songs. I’m just going to go in the studio and write and see what happens and maybe just write before I go in and I really enjoyed working with T Bone and look forward to that experience again.”
Das 2. Album dürfte wohl das Cover-Album mit Songs aus den 30ern sein, mit Orchester und wo Leon am Klavier spielt und Elton singt?!

Eben, SFTWC war ja auch schon mal sein Letztes;) Außerdem hab ich mich schon gefragt, ob das überhaupt gestimmt hat...war ja nur von einer Person im ej.com-Forum zu lesen und sonst nirgendwo (zumindest hab ich weiter nix gehört).... Mich freut's auf jeden Fall auch tierisch!!!!!!

Nöö, wie kommst du da drauf?? Ich versteh's eigentlich so, dass es ein Elton-Album wird, von T-Bone Burnett produziert. Vom 2. seh ich im Interview eigentlich keine genaueren Infos. Entweder, wie Thomas schon geschrieben hat, handelt es sich um ein Covers-Album, wie es Elton schon mal angekündigt hat, dass er sowas gerne machen würde (Gesang er und Leon am Piano) oder es geht um ein Solo-Album von Leon - da hat Elton seine Hilfe angeboten.

Das album welches im jänner aufgenommen wird wird aber sicher neue songs enthalten, weil er ja meinte dass bernie schon an neuen texten schreibt..
Lustig, wenn man bedenkt, dass er gesagt hat, dass er keine Alben mehr machen will :)

Dank John Higgins ist ej.com endlich mal aktuell; auch hier steht was von den neuen Alben. Allerdings ist mit dem 2. Album das Live-Album zur The Speaking Clock Revue gemeint:

It was announced last week that on October 18th, Shout! Factory will release T Bone Burnett Presents: The Speaking Clock Revue – a live CD from the benefit concert organized by the Oscar-winning producer at New York's Beacon Theatre last fall. In addition to Elton and Leon Russell performing Monkey Suit, the 11-song disc will include performances by Elvis Costello, Gregg Allman, Jeff Bridges, and the balance of the show's remarkable line-up.
And, according to an in-depth interview now appearing on Music Week magazine's website, Elton will be returning to the studio in January, 2012, to record new songs (for which Bernie Taupin is currently writing lyrics) with producer T Bone Burnett.
