NOTES: * As the Artists were not consistent with song introductions, some song titles are unknown and others may be incorrectly named as I had to guess. (Anyone else who attended and can help with filling in the missing titles and corrections, please contact me) * Elton & Leon brought the house down with their set. Elton looked and sounded great. Leon looked very frail, but he sounded well too. Elton took the lead in introducing all of the numbers (Leon never spoke) and was the dominate piano player throughout, playing all leads and fancy fillers. It was a very impressive premier for "The Union"

Encore: Russell, who looked like he might have taken a nap during his absence. “We didn’t rehearse an encore,” Elton said, so the two men, facing each other at shiny black grand pianos, re-did “Hey Ahab.” Fun, but really: how hard is to improvise on “Honky Cat”?

Elton & Leon's Encore Hey Ahab
NOTES:
* Elton was in fantastic form and great mood.
* Leon never spoke or acknowledged the audience and while appearing frail (And reportedly extremely nervous backstage before going on) he sounded very good.
* Concert was being broadcast on the Fuse Network, with limited commercial interruption.
* The audience was very receptive to all of the new songs, with 'Hey Ahab' getting the biggest reaction.
* The sold-out audience was celebrity heavy: Bernie Taupin with his wife Heather, T Bone Burnett, David Furnish, Billie Jean King, Whoopi Goldberg, Bruce Hornsby, plus numerous television and stage actors among many others were spotted.
* The last song was supposed to be 'Take Me to The Pilot' where Fuse had intended to insert the one and only commercial break before returning to Elton's encore. For some reason Elton did not leave the stage and kept playing. When Elton finished playing 'The Bitch Is Back' and left the stage, Fuse announced that they would return to Elton after the commercial break. Elton was informed of this backstage and told to go back out and play another tune. As he had played everything the Band had rehearsed, Elton brought Leon back out with him and played 'Hey Ahab' again, during which Clive Franks increased the volume on Leon's backing vocal allowing his great arrangement to be appreciated even more.

Notes:
* Elton was in an excellent mood to everyones delight as he allegedly told his management following the Fuse televised concert on Tuesday night, that he was too tired and didn't feel up to doing GMA Wednesday morning!
* During sound check and later during commercial breaks of the live broadcast Elton conversed and joked with the audience.
* Following the 2 additional songs recorded for later broadcast, Elton took an additional ten minutes to sign autographs to audience members down front.
* A highlight was Leon Russell being asked by GMA hostess Robin Roberts "How has your life changed since this man (Elton) has come back into your life?" , to which Leon resplied, "Well, I have to get up real early and do stuff!"
