Hi, Elton und Ray haben am 6.1 dieses jahres in hawai gespielt! hab gerade die videos auf youtube gesehen und bin wirklich erstaunt wie fit elton wieder ist und er singt besser den je! Was meint ihr?
Also seine Stimme ist natürlich längst nicht mehr so gut wie früher...(Haha, jetzt geht das schon wieder los!!! Holt die Heugabeln raus...:)), aber was mich wirklich frustriert ist sein unüberhörbares Lispeln z.B. auf der 60s Birthday DVD. Als ich das das erste mal gehört habe war ich ein bisschen geschockt. Hat er sich vielleicht Implantate machen lassen? Dann passiert sowas manchmal...

Ich mag ihn mit voller Stimmakrobatik. Seine 70er Alben haben sich in mein Gehirn gebrannt und dafür werde ich ihn ewig lieben und ihm für die vielen schönen Stunden danken, die er mir mit seiner Musik beschert hat. Ab Breaking Hearts beginnt für mich der kompositorische Abstieg in den normalen Mainstream. Ich würde es mal so formulieren: Ein Ausserirdischer landet auf der Erde und verliert seine magischen Kräfte. (Oh, höre ich da ein Stimmengebrummel im Forum? Ja, die Sätze werden deutlicher..."Also mir reichts jetzt langsam mit dem!" "Unmöglich! Der hatte noch nie Taktgefühl!" "Kommt hier rein und spielt sich auf!" So und jetzt aber endgültig raus mit den Heugabeln, Klappstühlen und was ihr sonst noch findet...Lasst das Massaker beginnen!! Meine letzte Chance ist vergeben, ich wollte es ja nicht anders...
Also ich steh hier grade auf meinem Klappstuhl und winke mit der weißen Fahne. Das heißt nicht, dass ich deiner Meinung bin aber das ist ja nicht so schlimm.
Ich weiß ja dass ihr hier viel toleranter seid, als ich es mal so eben erfinde. Da geht meine Phantasie manchmal einfach eigene Wege. Ich schwenke natürlich auch ein weißes Tuch und wünsche dir einen wunderschönen Geburtstagstag (Sorry, komisches Wort)! Schön das du trotzdem immer wieder mal zwischendurch Zeit für uns findest!!!!
Hallo Fans,daß sich Elton wieder prächtig erholt hat sieht man absolut bei seinem Hawaikonzert,er ist super gut drauf und seine Stimme wirklich kraftvoll und exzellent,einfach klasse.Captain Fantastic!Seine Stimme war noch nie so gut wie jetzt,habe bei Elton absolut noch kein lispeln gehört,weder beim Gesang noch bei Interviews,solltest dir mal das BBC Interview mit Danny Backer anhören da kannst dich von einer wirklich deutlischen Aussprache überzeugen.Seine Stimme ist jedenfals tausendmal besser als diese Fistelstimme der 70er Jahre,Gruß Thomas.
Passend dazu habe ich gerade einen Konzertbericht auf ej.com gesehen. Der ist supertoll geschrieben finde ich:

"Wednesday night's show was phenomenal. It was very clear that Elton was happy to be back in front of his audience. His voice was strong, clear, rich, full....but there was also an added layer of heart and soul. This is the Elton we all love to see and hear. This is what a man who is fulfilled looks like. He was thoroughly enjoying himself, singing well...and we are loving it, too. This is an Elton we have not seen before. Love, happiness and music fill the arena.
"Then, Funeral for a Friend begins, and there is Ray - standing motionless in the shadows, waiting. He explodes into the choreography of his percussion instruments, tossing his sticks, swimming through the chimes, pounding the xylophone, and hammering the bells. Ray can be gentle, brutal, dramatic, comical, angry, and joyous. He keeps no emotional secrets from us.
"We make our way to the stage, to have some treasures signed. We had two very special items, original artwork dedicated to Elton & Ray, and to Ray alone. Our goal was to get Elton to sign these for us. He does, of course! At the end of the show, when the two men take their final bow together, Elton points Ray in our direction...and says that he should sign an artwork for us. We are shocked, and very honored. Ray asks me for a pen, which I don't have! I tell him, "get one from Elton!", but someone in the crowd hands him a sharpie, and our treasure is signed. We are aware of how rare and precious this piece of art has become, and we will treasure it always. Thank you, Ray.
"Standing at the stage, it is clear why Elton loves what he does. Unlike many performers, this man touches us with a glance, a grimace, a smile, or the "thumbs-up" that is all for you, or the finger pointed at you. For a moment, there is personal contact with this man who means so much to us. This is why he does what he does - he loves the contact with us, too. This is why we are here - why we travel thousands of miles to be near him. We get that thrill when we are at a concert, but he gets it hundreds of times each night. THAT is his reward, giving and receiving the love.
"Unplanned, we ended up staying for Saturday's show. This time, we had a plan! It was time for us to let Elton know how he changed our lives. It was a simple homemade sign, put together with paper and tape, bold letters in black sharpie, made in our hotel room. It told a simple, but amazing story. 'WE FELL IN LOVE ON eltonjohn.com' on one side. 'THANK YOU ELTON' 'OLD76' 'SUEZQ' 'BELGIUM/USA' on the back. We made it to the stage again, and he saw our poster, and smiled. He signed it for us also. More importantly, we finally got to tell Elton how our love of his music led us to each other. No other couple in the world can say they met the way we did. And still, it seems like we didn't get the chance to say enough. There never will be enough, we've found...no such thing as too much Elton. Thank you, Elton. We'll see you again soon."
Tammy, Danke für den tollen Bericht vom Honululu Hawai Konzert.Genau so sehe ich das auch,das was ich gesehen und gehört habe von diesem Konzert war einfach fantastisch,Eltons Stimme und der Sound klingen perfekt,war bestimmt auch ne super tolle Halle dazu,ich kann mich den positiven Kritiken dazu nur anschließen,Danke,Gruß Thomas.
